I know it will only interest a handful of people but in speaking with someone from Cragar I was told that they were going to have available the Cragar 610 SS wheels to fit our GTO's.
They are the throw back to the 60's and 70's GTO wheels of that time. They unfortunately won't be ready until june or july. At least that gives anyone time to save up.
It won't be popular with the younger crowd but for guys like myself it's perfect. Just wanted to give a heads up to whoever is interested.

I didn't ask figuring that since they aren't ready yet that he wouldn't have any numbers.

Not bad at all. BTW, I had heard earlier that a wheel tire combo with Dunlops would be around $1,800. This was about 1 1/2 months ago.

i would have to see em on a car first, but they have potential, especially if the offsets would enable 275's+ on the rears.

This is more interest than I expected but I'm glad to see it. I think they will look good on any color GTO. Maybe alittle more for a darker car I think.

I'd have to see them on a car. I think the AR Torq Thrust wheels would look better.

I'll try to get thru to them and voice our need for speed. Don't think it will change delivery but what the heck. Man, I wish my last name was Cragar. :gr_jest:

Do the new Cragars come with the "rip the center hub out on launch" feature built in to them, or has that been fixed?

The lug pattern and offset of all the Cragar's are not even close for our cars.

I tried to buy them, the local Discount Tire has a guy from the wheel industry and he thought he could get them. We placed the order at a high price and Cragar accepted it but after a month word came back that the 610 wheels could not be safely machined for the GTO offset.
Could be BS from the salesman but I think it is true, they took the order then backed out for technical reasons.

You can all forget about it. They are not going to do anything for a car that only had less than forty thousand made. Maybe if they had made 200,000 of our cars things might be different.

I know these new style Cragars fit on a new Mustang....Saw one in my complex.
ZigZag, thatnks for your efforts and don't feel bad. I e-mailed American Racing a while back and asked why they make 17x9 TT2s but not 18x9 TTs and they said $100K for tooling and it ain't going to happen. Oh well, you tried...

I even prepared the wife for "At a higher price because they will be limited production".

Thanks Zig for all your efforts in this. Is there any way to fudge the records showing 200K gto's made? LOL
What wheel out there, resembles the SS Cragar and is chrome? Have any idea?
