I saw someone post a while back that they had bought some of these wheels, but I searched and found nothing in here. Does anyone have pics of these on a gto yet? I really like these wheels but I'm not sure how they will look on a gto, so if anyone has pic's please post them.:gears:

I can photo shop it for you if you are really interested...have to give me some time though, I'm swamped here. If someone else can do it right away, feel free. ;)

That would be great whether you can do it or someone else can, swell:D

I honestly have not seen anyone mention purchasing the Z10s.

Here's a crappy photoshop. I used this image (https://www.wheelmax.com/_images/products/az10-sm.jpg), which didn't lend itself well to a photoshop. Plus, my photoshop skills are average at best, but I think you get the idea.

That gives me an idea of what they'll look like though, close enough. Whoever bought them originally posted in the exhaust section because they had bought headers and show a pic of the rims they bought also but they were just sitting there.

I just bought a set of Z-10's (18 x 8.5 all around) w/ some new Toyo Proxes 4 tires. Company's having some shipping delays, though...so it's going to probably be a couple of weeks before I have them on and can post some pics. I think they're going to look great!!

Cheers! :drink:

Make sure you roll your fenders...otherwise, they WILL rub in the rear. Just a heads-up for you!

I think I have finally made up my mind. Well, kinda. I was looking at Thruxtons and Beyerns but I really like the Z1's, Z2's and Z10's. And they're within my budget. :D Now to decide which style....

Thanks, Snafu! How bad will this setup rub in the rear? I mean, will I be OK to get them put on and drive a week or two while I'm finding a shop that can roll the fenders w/o damaging anything to badly? This came up pretty fast and the whole fender rolling issue didn't even cross my mind....

Thanks again! :drink:

Hey Scrat, personally I wouldn't risk running them...do you really want to risk cutting up the tire or even damaging the rim? I know you're eager to get these on (I don't blame you), but I wouldn't want you tear them up. I can't say exactly how bad they'll be right off...it depends on brand of tire, your car's tolerances when built, etc. Like I said, just trying to help out.

Hey Lisa, when you decide, let me know...I'd be glad to get you set up with whichever AZA's you choose!!!

Believe me - I really appreciate you pointing this out! I just didn't know how bad to expect the rubbing problem to be. That is - if it is a constant issue, only when fully loaded, etc. If the latter, there's rarely more than just me and my wife in the car, so it's never really weighed down.

FYI - the tires are Toyo Proxes 4's and are 245/40/18 all around.

The other side to this is I came into buying these b/c last Thursday I had a flat on my driver side rear tire and didn't realize it right away. By the time I got pulled over, the tire was smoking and it was dead flat. Sidewall didn't blow, but I'm not sure how much damage it took or how long I was driving on it flat. I've just had the Goat parked on the spare donut and had intended on keeping that way until my new rims/tires came in. However, in light of the fitment issue, I think I'll be taking my flat to a tire shop to see if they can salvage it so I can drive the car in the meantime.

The thing I'm kind of pissed about now is the vendor I purchased them from (Wheel Max) states on their site that:

"Wheel Max goes to great lengths to ensure that your wheel and tire purchase will correctly fit your vehicle. Our team of researchers continually updates our database with manufacturer information. Wheel Max stands behind its promise!

We guarantee that your online order will properly fit your specific make and model.

Should you encounter fitment problems with an online order, Wheel Max, at its sole discretion, will either refund or exchange your wheels at no cost to you."

If I can't put them on when I get them w/o fear of screwing them up - wouldn't that contradict their policy?

I know it's not your place to defend/explain another company's policy - but it seems a little contradictory to me in light of your information about having to roll the fenders just so they'll fit right.

Thanks again for the heads-up....much appreciated!

Now for a little self-pity for a hasty purchase and a little :drink: :drink:
