I found a GM dealership with the PN I suspected to be "The One" in stock. I directed him to the thread on this website discussing the topic, specifically the pic provided by Ddawson (thanks Dan). He confirmed the one in his hand looked identical to the one posted in our thread.
So here it is: GM PN 88965372 or AC Delco PN MU 1312
As they were non sponsors, PM me for who and where, they had 3 in stock @ $316.00 ea including the level sensor.

By my accounting (discounting the Ebay buys) it looks like $450 ish for an 8.1L bucket and the Walbro set up. PO04GTO is just under 500RWHP with stable fuel pressure.
guys pushing that number some will most likely need a BAP for another $220.00
