Guys,
I think im under some sort of Denial Of Service attack. Last time I rebooted Limewire starts on its own and can not be shut down. I am unable to get into the registry to see if its being launched by another app. I am also not able to get into comand. On top of that, My keys are doing goofy shit. It has taken me now 10 minutes to type thsii (see whta I mean).
Rightnw o Iam runnig a virus scn under safe imodee and its still acting like this. Any ideas? I think my roomie mya have downloded sothing nasty from imewirel. Also, I can not open the running tasks to see whats running

Nothing like a big worm instead of a virus. ;)
But seriously, if you cannot get into your registry...there is a problem.

How were you prevented from getting into the registry? Did regedit just not run when instructed to do so? Were you denied access?
What's wrong with your keyboard? Does your PC speaker beep when you press keys? Do commands seem delayed?
If someone is running a DOS attack on you (or using your connection to execute one), then I would expect the symptoms to be a slow connection, and maybe some unusually high disk access. Pull the ethernet cable out of your computer and see if performance improves.

http://housecall.antivirus.com that will have the latest updates in case you haven't dl'ed your software's newest update yet.
Click start, run and type in msconfig and check the Startup tab. You can then disable the things the registry is starting.

1) Regedit flashes the command window with a bunch of odd charaters and it bombsback to desktop.
2)Nobeeps just laggy and backspaing and spacing at will while tying.
3) Cant pull thernete because of online virus cans.

disable all virus protection and run regedit. If that fails, follow the link macdogg gave you. If that fails, copy all you can and reformat and reinstall winders. If that fails, I hear brandy is pretty good. ;)

If your comfortable, do a registry search. If you aren't comfortable, don't touch the registry. And don't stay at a Holiday Inn Express. :)

Apple's are for gay Volkswagen driving hippies. :gr_jest:
Seriously, that's pretty messed up. You need to reformat your drive and start over. That is the thing that will save you the most time and headache. If you've got data backed up somewhere, virus scan the stuff before putting it back on the machine.
You might get be able to fix the problems, but it will take you a lot more time than restoring the system or re-installing Windows.
