Replaced stock 17s w/18s today

Thanks to the info on this site (like jacking points, etc.), I have just successfully finished replacing my 17" stock wheels/tires with a set of new 18" wheel/tire dealer takeoffs that I bought on eBay recently. I am thrilled to say that the GTO doesn't drive like the same car. I had always thought my GTO rode pretty roughly with some vibration at speed, but I just blamed that on the nature of a high performance car. The stock 17" BFGs also had the worst case of flat-spotting that I have ever felt, after sitting overnight. The first few miles in the morning were like riding in a buckboard. The new 18s are smooth as silk on the road, no vibration at all, and quieter than the 17s (which I hadn't expected). Plus, I love the look of the 18s over the 17s. So, I am a very happy camper tonight.

Thanks to a local member of the board, I was able to change my stock 17's to the 18" option with almost new tires. Car looks so much better. I have not taken it out and pushed it, but the ride around town seems to be unaffected.
