Will this combination work for the track?

A friend of mine is going to let me use his wheel/tire setup at the track this friday. He has a pair of 16 x 8 wheels off of a newer ls1 firebird. These wheels have mt 26X10.5X16 et streets on them.
Now I know that the bolt pattern is slightly different but for the track I should be fine.
I have read that these have a 50+ offset so I am thinking I will be ok running them. Can someone confirm weather or not these will rub?
My fenders are not rolled.

Are these tires gonna tear apart my car in any way?
Broken tranny, halfshaft, anything like that?

dunno put um on in the driveway and check the fit. my only worry would be the possibility of shearing a wheel stud, but 5x4 3/4 is real close to 5x120.

no more chance of breakage then anyother Drag tire.
