Well, after a set of Goodyear G3D3's, Dunlop Sport Maxx and the stockers I'm riding on the Michelin PS2's. I feel like a consumer report beta tester when it comes to tires for this thing. Anyway, the Michelins are by far the best yet although I'm going to have to have the fronts balanced on-car to get the 65-75mph vibration gone. I dunno, my faith in Tire Rack is now totally gone.....never buy a thing from them again. Prolly stay with these for a few months until I get the rear wheel wells fabbed to handle some huge meat........these little 17's just can't hold this beast, even with the T/C on it bbq's them.

Yeah keep us posted im a michelin fan ended up with a set of Coopers Zeon 2xs on the back now due to a road hazard and avaliability of that size tire. was lookint at the michelins and the Nitto and Yokohama but due to time and situation ended up with what i got now.

Update:
Driving the car home last night I noticed a steering wheel "shake" that started at 65mph and didn't really smooth out at all. Instead of going back to the dealer I took my car to my shop that does all my suspension (Pedders Street II) and Baer brake install. They also do an "on the car" wheel balance which is far superior to any "road force" (Hunter 9700) balance. They found three "egg shaped" tires, the passenger front and both rears. Had them call the tire store to inform them of their findings and was told that they would be happy to switch them out for me. When I called the store a few minutes later to confirm this they kinda "back peddled" on the switch out offer and said they would "try to make it right for me". This pissed me off, big time, and I demanded they have three new tires ready when I got there tomorrow. The store manager gave me an attitude so I called their corporate office and talked to a guy there. He tried to explain how difficult it was for them to get Michelin to honor their warranty. Told him that was HIS problem, not mine. Anyway we'll see tomorrow what transpires. I dunno, I've really had a bad run lately trying to get good tires on this beast. Guess price doesn't mean a thing when it comes to warranty issues........they're all the same.

Michelin is so overpriced. I have wondered how they could be worth the price.

Sorry to hear of your problems. Speaking from experience (having owned several sets of Pilot Sport, PS2, and Pilot Sport A/S) I have never and I mean NEVER had a problem with a Michelin tire, so hopefully you've just gotten hold of a bad batch or something - don't give up on them yet if possible. I've had issues with Goodyears and Bridgestones, but never Michelins. The extra $20 I spend per tire for PS2's is worth it to me knowing that I am buying the best performance street tire on the market. I don't cut corners on suspension, brakes, or tires because they're just too damned important IMO...

Totally agree.......never had a bad Michelin myself until one went bad on my Caddy. Even then the Caddy dealer gave me a hard time replacing it but finally did, after I signed a form saying I would relieve the dealership of any more tire issues......what a joke.

I've owned many sets of tires over the years and generally have had good luck with Michelin. Boy do you pay for it though... I had two sets of Pilot Sport A/S tires that I really wasn't too impressed with though. The wear sucked. (20K miles on one car and 25K on the other) The amazing thing is that my wife wore her set out before I did and I'm the one who drives like an idiot. The worst Michelins I owned were XGT-Hs. My dad had a set and had the same bad experience. They never seated right to rims and would lose air.
Ditto on Bridgestones. My dad recently had a couple of sets and they could never balance them to eliminate vibrations.
Just yesterday I switched out to BFGs KDWs from Michelin PS A/S tires for my driver so I'll be curious to see how those hold up.

Not to start a tire war since I know a lot of tire preference is just that preference ... but I hate Michelins. I've never had a good set of them. 3 times times I've had them on new cars as factory issue and traded them out for Nokians every time. They hydroplaned badly and just made me nervous. If you can get Nokian tires in the size you need I think you will be happy. Great tires in my opinion. I get the NRZi tires and love them.
Of course there are plenty of good tires and every brand has tires that are great and others that aren't so great depending upon the model. If you are searching for a great tire (maybe not as well known here in NA still) take a look at the Nokians.
Cheers,
brian
