Another Torq Thrust II Question

Disregarding the Bolt pattern dilemma with the torq thrusts, If I want 18's what offset/backspacing do I need? I'm fine with the bolt pattern problem, I can get that fixed, but do they make 18's with the correct backspacing/offset to work on the gto? I would really like 18x8 in the front and 18x9 or bigger in the rear. Rolling the fenders isn't a problem either.

Also does anyone have some good reading on backspacing/offset so I can get a better understanding?

18's wont fit the car from american racing. At least the torque trust model. I posted my backspaces in another thread, just do a search to get the backspaces needed.
