I mentioned in a thread some time ago, that I was thinking of getting the Cooper Zeons. spacejunkiehsv asked me to report back.
I am reporting back that I thought I was getting the 2XS but I have purchased the ZPTs.
My OEM tires were trash at 10K. Even with a 10K rotation, two weeks later all four tires looked the same.
So I was gonna get some winter tires (winter '06) at about 12K, but by the time I decided, the winter tires were all "out of stock".
Then, we had such a mild winter and the tires performed in the slush much like they did last year. So I decided to get new tires at tax return.
So the return came to pass Friday, and I bought the tires Friday, but as it turns out, I bought ZPTs instead of 2XS? All I can tell from Cooper's website is that the ZPT is M+S rated. So, my accidental purchase may have worked out best for my climate. But I don't know the difference.
For those of you who are interested in my impressions of the ZPT, I can't help yet, only about 8 miles on'em and the OEM BFGs were so far gone at 16K, that I don't have much to base new impressions on.
I'll try to keep it updated as the pavement gets warmer and wet driving gets frequent.
But, so far, I am just happy to have new rubber and don't really know if it's better than OEM, I just know it's better than what I've been driving around on for the last 6K miles. :judge:
