I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my cars. The factory wheels on my 06 arent bad looking, but what a pain to kep clean. The little nooks and crannys collect dirt everytime I drive the car, and take forever to clean. Anyone have a solution?

Yea today i just bought Black Magic Tire and Wheel spray (8.99 in Michigan, should be the same everywhere else) its in a cylinder gray bottel, with a spray nozzel head. I just used it today and it worked GREAT! Very good on the rims and tires. But if you want the TIRES not Rims, but tires to shine even more, i forgot who makes it but its a gel and it comes with a foam applicator and u just wipe the tires with it forone of the best shines i seen. I say somehting like this at Meijers one time. But again i bought the All in One from Murrys. Black Magic makes great products.

you have the 17's obviously. the 18's are muchmore flat on the spokes. but i know you not gonna go get 18's just because there easier to clean. dont get ocd over it bro. just try not to brake so hard maybe becasue a lot of it is brake dust i assume.

Clean them and put a coat of Zaino on them. That'll keep the dirt from sticking next time.

Just cleaned my wheels this past weekend - while I was switching out the Hawk & Green Stuff pads for the Porterfield pads. Them EBC Green’s dust like a mofo and I’am glad to get them off.
I used this Meguiar's stuff to clean my stock ’04 painted wheels…
G9524 Hot RimsŪ All Wheel Cleaner
Safe for all factory, clear-coated and painted wheels.

They did a great job on the insides and outside with out much effort. Did use a soft bristle brush after letting the stuff soak for 15 seconds.
The insides are now about as clean as the outsides...

Pressure washer; 3400 PSI does the trick for wheels & calipers, no soap required. Keep your distance from the tires, though (8").

Wax them (as already mentioned). Will keep dirt from sticking.
Then use soap and water, dirt will fall right off.

HI,
I use 409,a rag and a couple q-tips to get the nooks that are a pain.
The q-tip in the corners only takes maybe a minute a wheel and with soap on it won't scratch the wheels.
Hope that helps,
Gary

Has anyone tried that Mothers Powerball? It looks like a sound idea.
Haven't tried the PowerBall, but I am using the hookups already described well enough.
1. Take the wheels off the car (about annually).
2. Get them all over clean with whatever wheel cleaner that is safe for clearcoat.
3. Wax the living dog out of them.
4. For several months brake dust will hose right off with plain water, use QTips to get the last of the brake dust out of the corners for months on end.

Yup and definitely make sure to stay back that is unless you want to get wet. My power washer used to take everything off the car (my GP, I would never use it on the Goat).

Good tip on waxing the rims. I use a soft tire crevice brush to knock crap out of the corners. If you keep up with your wheels every couple of days it is pretty easy.
I was thinking of switching to a wheel wax for the tires. I use a super oily dressing on there now, and while it looks good, it slings crap everywhere.
Anyone use wax?

$6.00 Meguiar's Wheel Spoke Brush... the wheel faces never give me a problem, however the inside rim area is a bitch.
