I see alot of you guys use discounttiredirect.com. Im looking to get new rims and I plan to keep my stock tires. so i need rims with the same size and offset as the stockers. When i put in 05 gto 17" on discounttire they only show me 17x7 tires with different bolt patterns and offsets then our stock rims. Ours is 17x8 5-120mm +40 right? So the rims they are showing me will not fit?

Stockers are 5x120mm, +48mm offset.

DTD.com is very conservative with what they say fits the GTO. You're better off understanding what offsets mean and how they play a role in fitment of your wheel, then do a search for, say, wheels that fit an '02 BMW 330ci.

So there is pretty much no aftermarket rims with the exact size, pattern and offset as our stockers?

Very, very few. The offset is the tricky one.

How much were you looking to spend? JHP has a several other Holden wheels that will fit, but the shipping from Oz is a little pricey.

Sure they will. I have a local member running those exact wheels. He posts here as rm2zoom. Not the best for road course work, but they're fine for street driving.

Go for it.

Do they have to be 17" wheels?

I like bigger wheels, personally - but his don't look bad at all. He has a Phantom Black Metallic '04.

Here it was with the stockers:

Well you won't have a problem with strut rub, that's for sure...
