Hey to guys who have made the switch from 17s to 18s, could you comment on the difference in handling / steering response? Compared to suspension upgrades e.g. radius rod bushings or sway bars? Thanks...

i have on past cars, turn in is a lot better, but remember, the most important factor is the tire, same goes w/ braking, it'll all tire limited

Thanks for the response. How about the 'floaty' steering feel on the highway. Does it help in that respect?

I run my 18's in the summer months and I don't experience the 'float' you refer to. But I don't experience it with the 17's either. The ride is marginally rougher but the car does seem to handle better. I agree that the tire choice makes a huge difference. I'm running Nitto Extreme 555's and I'm pleased with their performance! I actually have less tire/road noise with the 18's.

THe 18's, IMO, feel much better all around. They feel more solid on the highway, better during corners. I can't comment on straightline since I went from the LS1 to the LS2, and that's a difference in power, but they feel good all around. Definately will get better tires when the stockers are done with.
