My first guess would be NO based on the bulge off the wheel, but no hard evidence here. I'm running a 245/40-18 and had fender rub in the back  Lots of "build variation" makes it hard to predict...

well they say a 275/40/17 nitto's work without rolling the fenders so i wonder how much diff it is with the 275/50/15's????

No they will not work. I tried my 15x8 with 26/10.0 MT slicks and 275/50/15 Nittos...neither fit inside the fenderwell. I even cut off the entire fender lip to get them to fit. Here are some calculations I did for another member...so forgive if I just paste them up.
In the rear, I couldn't get the 8s to work without going to a narrow tire. By my calculations, the 5.5 inch backspacing gives just 38.5mm offset. This is simply offset too far towards the outside of the vehicle. Now, the 15x10 with a 7.5 inch backspacing would give you about 63mm offset. I personally feel that these would be a much better option. They will make your tires have a wider contact patch and will set the tire completely under the car. You may have to beat in the inner fender by the shock, but that is easy enough to do. You also may have to run a small spacer...like about 10mm to bring you to a 53mm offset. I know that my rears on my car now (9.5 inch wide with 56mm offset) slightly rubbed the inner fender when hitting a bump. I fixed this with the BFH method.
I hope this helps. When I am ready for new rear tires, I will go with the 15x10 Prostars.

hey galen, i have a set of 15x10 prostars also with a 6 1/2 back spacing and they dont fit. the wheel hit the screw from the brake line into the caliper so i dont think the 7 1/2 one will fit without modifing that brake line screw. do u think with a set of drag bags that it would help it from squatting and hitting the tire if i put them on? it just sucks i got 2 sets of prostars laying around and a set of nitto's and a set of et streets that i cant use.

I imagine the dragbags would work. They would just have to make sure your rear end doesn't squat at all. I didn't have any problems with the brakes on my GTO with the 15x8s...but if I go 15x10, I am pretty sure a spacer would be in order, so that would also solve the brake problem.

OOPS! Just noticed you have an 06. Mine is an 04 with the smaller brakes...I know, it is genetics! That is the problem! I really don't know what to tell you regarding your situation.
