gonna be tough....even a 16 inch wheel probably won't clear '05 front calipers without a big spacer....a 15 is asking A LOT.

My Bogarts will be here this week for my 05. I'll let you know.

If you try JHP they have the genuine 17 x 4 spare GTO alloy wheel with tires. e-mail geoff@jhp.com.au

yea, the wheels would work but is does anyone make an applicable 17" tire that's safe to run up to those speeds?

~$262 + shipping for another spare @ fred beans

$403 MSRP (list price)

That's one hell of a mark-up at your local dealer. Figuring FB is probably around 5-10% above cost...

 I wouldn't but that's me...

I hope to never ever ever see the spare as rear wheel either:judge:

I was going for the BMW rears and spare fronts. but I dont trust the stock spare tire. I think its rated at 80mph. Cant find another skinny tire to fit the 17 inch wheel. Might work OK on 1/8 mile track.

o yea...It probably won't blowout the first time and it would LIKELY be ok for 100-120 mph provided you only used it for drag racing (a short triple digit spurt would probably be ok...just not sustained high speed)

still though, i wouldn't wanna take the chance and if the tech official is particularly observant, they wouldn't allow it on the track anyway.

Ya'll might want to check out what the Corvette racers use over on the Corvette forums. If you aren't afraid of the bolt circle difference, they should have some viable options. I know I made many passes on my Weld front runners on my 04 with no problems at all.
