Stock 18's chipping

Has anyone had a problem with there stock 18's chipping or haveing goudges along the lip of the rim? I was polishing up my wheel i noticed my rims are starting to do that.

I have a small one on the rear passenger side. I noticed it after a 50 mile trip.

I have no chipping or gouging.

I also have one or two small gouges in mine. :(

I think its just because there aluminum and there "soft"

I think it's because the stock tires are too freakin skinny.

I know that they are just painted and clear-coated... they should be powder-coated from the factory.

I have about two gouges on my back right rim. I think the dealer got a little bit trigger happy with the air gun during dealer prep.

No gouges but I have one wheel that has some clear coat peeling.

No problems but I've only had my car for a month. Think I'll wax my wheels the next time I wash my car...

My 18's have about 1,500 miles on them and I haven't noticed this (and I've looked specifically for it).

Had four gouges in mine right across from each other. dealer replaced it as shipping damage. Took 6 weeks to get a replacement from GM.
