I really don't like the 17" wheels that came factory my car but I love the 18" wheels. Is that a fair price per wheel? It sucks that I will have to downgrade to 235 rubber as opposed to 245 but oh well.

The wheels are sold here: http://www.wheeltechnologies.com/wti/

Thanks

Are you sure they are not knock-offs or wheels that have been repaired??? The price is too low if you ask me. Be sure you know what you are getting before you buy.

If they are new and real GM its a good price. Dealer take off rims apear now and then in the four sale section generally bring $900-1400 with low milage rubber.

I didnt even see Pontiac listed.

I'd buy some factory 18's for $250 if someone wants to sell me theirs. ;)

$250 per wheel is a good price, but you can find them on the forum for the same price. The forum might be safer then buying refurb wheels from a place you're not familiar with.

Thanks for sending me the private messages guys. I contacted this company to see if these wheels are the real deal or not before I make any buying decisions. Also, since my car came with the 17" wheels from the factory, would I need to reprogram my PCM if I got the 18's or does the lower profile tire offset the wheel diameter increase? Thanks.

Well I tried e-mailing them but every one of their e-mail addresses has been returned as undeliverable. Not a good first impression of this company for sure. I will give them a call in the morning.

Wheel Collision Center is a very good company... They just repaired a scratch I had in one of my 18" wheels. Check the prices here: http://www.wheelcollision.com/pontiac5.htm
In addition, Gene at Fred Beans sells factory 18" wheels for $318 each (includes shipping). When I scratched my wheel I needed another to put on my car so I bought one. He has 4 left in stock.

No because the 18's with the skinny ass tired match the 17's with there thick tires. Same diamiters.. I notice when i drive past of those poilce stands that take down ur speed, im somtimes 1mph off of my guage. Only somtimes though.

Thanks. I love the look of the 18's but it will suck going to a skinnier tired :( But it is not like I am tracking my car anyway

Thanks for your help! I am sure fellow board memebers would be willing to give me a good deal on some used 18's as well as rubber but I like the idea of buying brand new. Looks like Fred Beans has some good deals. Thanks again

Most of the aftermarket wheels I have seen on the GTO's don't look that great and/or have rubbing issues. The offset makes the variety somewhat limited. It's not like an F-body where everything fits :(

Well, according to this website: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html the the difference between the 245/45/17 and 245/40/18 tires are so small that speedometer would only be off by a 10th on a MPH. So if you are going 60 mph with the new tire, you are actually going 60.1 MPH. So the only concern is strut rub.
