Woohoo!!! I knew I had kids for a reason. ;) My 21yr old came over today and though I have an appt to have my fenders rolled tomorrow evening, he just couldn't wait. He wanted to put just one of my new wheels/tires on the back to see if they would fit without rubbing. An hour later, I had all 4, new wheels and tires mounted on the car. :D :D :D It does not appear that I'm going to have a rubbing issue. 245/35/19 up front, 275/30/19 in the rear. I do have drag bags and they have about 12psi in them. I'm going to keep my fender rolling appt anyway just to be safe, and also so it's done and out of the way in case I wanna go really wide with drag radials. :D I also noticed, when my son pulled out of the driveway in it, that it did come down very close to the fender. Better safe than sorry. Anyway... here are some pics. Enjoy. :D

car looks awesome. Most of the AZA threads on here people have black rims. I must admit I like your rims alot more than the black ones.

thanks!! The black AZA's look really good, but I'm just not into black wheels enough to spend that kind of money on them.

How long did it take to receive them from when you ordered? They look great.

lisatw151
05-29-2006, 07:39 PM
Ummm... I think it was right at about 2 weeks from actual order time. It took a little while for them to become available to BE ordered though, so I had been waiting a couple of months. I got them thru Top Shelf Performance... a sponsor on the left. I don't think their website is up and running yet, but if you do a search for AZA wheels, it'll bring up a thread with all the specifics. Which, by the way, Sean (Snafu) at Top Shelf Performance is GREAT to deal with. Great communication and quick responses to questions.

I'm a certified Zainoholic. It's all that's ever been on the car. 24 coats at present, the latest being this afternoon. :D

Tonio... the ride is not bad at all. I do feel the bumps in the road a bit more than before, but it seems to handle better.

Thanks Trix! I let my son take the car to the store as thanks for putting the rims on for me. It's not something I routinely do. He's 21 and is a great driver actually, but he wants to race EVERYTHING. He'd race a little old lady in a
Buick I do believe. At any rate, he took the pic with my digital camera, parked behind a local grocery store. LOL. Turned out great!

As I said at the PIP show the 19" really do make this car standout. Good job and I will see you and your bad ride at the 757 vs. CGH Shootout.

Lisa who's rolling your fenders? Let me know how well they do because I'm looking for someone to do mine as well. I've been trying to find the Z1's in HyperDark for awhile, but I like the look of yours.

Thanks!

SWEEETTTTT! I got the same rims coming from Top Shelf. I got 275/35's for the back though. King springs and drag bags do make a difference in ride height but I will see if the 1/4 panels need to be cut. On a side note, any vibrations? I know Sean recommended getting a set of Jason's hubrings to be on the safe side. Waiting for those to come in also. Again, nice ride Lisa.

thank you, thank you. :D I have not noticed any vibration whatsoever, though, I haven't had the chance to drive it that much yet. It's at the shop right this moment getting the a/c fixed. :banghead: heehee. I'll pay attention to that though as I'm driving around in the next few days.

Thanks!

A shop in Indian Trail, about 15 minutes from my house is rolling the fenders this evening. It's actually right next door to where the a/c is being fixed so that worked out well. If you like, when I get it back, I'll let you know how they did and how it looks, as well as $$$. :)

Bring it to me. :) I love to detail cars. I think I could do it as a sideline job with no problem. I'll even give you a break on my labor rates, since you're a CGH member and all. LOLOL

Looks really good. But why do your pictures have like a 'haze' to them? Is that just how your camera takes pictures? I'd love to see how it looks if the pics weren't messed up.

Ummm... might be your computer. I don't see any haze. Just crystal clear pics. Well, except for my sigpic. But that was intended to be like that.. Camera is brand new and I've not heard any complaints from anyone else. Anyone else???

lol... I was thinking exactly the same thing! It's like the photos are slightly overexposed or camera had a filter on it... or a photoshop effect.

lol... I was thinking exactly the same thing! It's like the photos are slightly overexposed or camera had a filter on it... or a photoshop effect.

No filter on the camera. It's a Canon Powershot A530. Set at 640x480. I don't know what the resolution is set at... it was a gift last week and I'm still learning about it. I did sharpen the picture one click with a program called Irfanview. But that's it. No color changes or enhancements.

I hosted it on imageshack.us instead of managing attachments right out of the site. Imageshack resized it to 320x240 or whatever that size is...

Ok use that same photo you just posted, but don't resize it. Just host it the way it is: 640, no sharpening, etc.

Yeah, see...I'm guessing the problem is in your camera settings, not the outcome of the pictures. The focus isn't right.

Either way, I still think the car looks great....but get the camera setup right!! :)

The color I have is pearl flash mettalic. I've received tons of compliments on them. They change color depending on the angle of light and your angle of vision. They don't seem to have that color anymore though...

VERY nice. I am so never going to be able to decide on wheels now, I had just decided on the staggered Z-15s, crap.

i really like the side shot that shows off the lip on the rears, sweet.
