I just installed my TSW Thruxtons (18x8 +40mm) on all four corners at Discount Tire. On the way home, I took some bumps pretty hard and am lightly rubbing on the fender on the rear driver's side.

I noticed that the driver's side sits a little lower than the passenger side, which is probably the reason. I can fit one finger between the tire and the fender on the driver's side, and two on the passenger's side. Why would it be this way? I never noticed this on my stock tires, not to say it has been this way already.

Every car is different but if ur rubbing w/ a 40 offset, need to switch to Toyo tires. +1 what tires are u running?

u might have a bad spring or strut... but cut/rolling the fenders or drag bags will solve the rubbing problem.

I'm running Nitto 245/40ZR18.

The driver's side is now a little higher than it was yesterday. Does this make sense?

I'm probably going to install drag bags to give myself a little more clearance. I'm not a big fan of rolling my fenders, which is why I went with 18x8 in the rear.

the reason only one side is rubbing is probably cause you have a bad rear cradle alignment. You may not need to do anything if you get the alignment fixed.

After being jacked up they do take some time to settle back to normal ride height.

If there is still more room on one side then the other then the rear cradle like others have said is out of alignment.

Does anybody know where I can get my rear cradle aligned in West or Central Texas?

so jacking up the car makes the rear cradle out of alignement?

Might have to roll and grind the fenders as well.
