Help me Pick Black / Chrome! Plz!

Ok so here's the Deal:
Decided on the Niche Venice rim for my PBM GTO Question is now, Should i go with the Paint Black with a Chrome Lip:

Reason im torn is because, There is No other chrome on our cars so the Black with a Chrome lip might look awkward? Where as a Completely Chrome rim would look better, Just Looking for Some Other Opinions, So Fire Away Please I would like to hear everything from the Good and Bad to the Ugly! Let Me know what you think!

I'd do the chrome personally...black rims look good on the yellow and blue Goats IMO.

on a black car, chrome! Napravit has a PBM and he's got that "black ice" which is just a black chrome and it looks GREAT on his car, but for a lighter car.. say a blue one ;), i think that black looks better there.

Midnight blue is the only color i would NOT put black wheels on...

I imagine it would be like wearing a black shirt and navy blue pants...;)

for yellow i say black,
IBM= black or chrome or hypersilver depends on your taste
Red= black
mbm= chrome
black= chrome or black dep'd on your taste (dont want too much black)
silver= black

Im all honesty, I'd have to see it first, but I think if it was done right, you might get away with it. Cosmosgoat (Jason) was wondering at first what the black drift Rs were going to turn out like on his purple goat, but they looked awsome and even better then the silver he was going to get first.

On black I'd pick the chrome. Any other color (excluding MBM) I'd say black.'

If you think black with a chrome lip would look weird, watch the Bullitt chase scene again... you might reconsider.

Don't worry about the chrome: I went with a "red with black accents and chrome rings" theme. 427 / 06 tails are all you need to complete the look.

Chrome rings: headlights, foglights, taillights, wheels, exhaust tips.

The 427/06 tails also match the headlights/fogs better.

How much is costing an 'arm or a leg' to you? I'd stick with 18" or 19". If you can't afford them in this rim, don't settle and go 17". Get something else.

As a few have said Chrome looks best on Black and (Midnight Blue) which is what I have. Just got TSW Vortex Chrome 2 days ago and they are fantastic. Black on black is just alittle to much black IMHO. The chrome makes the rest of the car look awesome. But that's just me. Good luck on your choice.

That wheel is 18 x 8.5 so you might be careful about rubbing.

The offset on this wheel is 45mm so you should be able to run any tire without rubbing.

Lets face it any 18 or 19 " rim needs a smaller sidewall than a 17' rim. (to keep at the height we need to avoid rubbing) So if you dont mind the "jappy"rubberband look on a GTO then get 18 or 19. To get a muscular look with a good sized sidewall then you need 17" rims.Its a personal choice.
17x8 up front with 245 45's and 17x9.5 at rear with 275 40's looks good to me.Its what I have, and there are no rubbing issues. Chrome looks excellent on ANY black car. The black rims will look good as well.You cant go wrong either way. Its what you like that should count. Post pics after youve done so Im sure everyone would like to see them.
