I do need to clear it up though. The 65 won, and the 64 was a DNF. Blew an engine. Possibly from overheating due to grass in the radiator.

No engine likes to overheat. I chalk it up as a problem with the cooling system. Not the LS2.

I just got back home from the race. It was great to be weaing my GTO shirt when they won it! Fuel economy won the day!

On a side note, my Goat was the only one in the parking lot at Daytona. :bomb:

One other thing, holy shit those RX8's are loud. I'd be deaf if I had to drive that.

What :bs: change the rules in the middle of the game.. They might as well come out and say we don't want you to win... Those things killed low end power, Porsche drove off on the long straights.. but good calls from the pit box got them the win

Did anybody watch the IROC race that was a good race .. Angelleli(sp) was beating on everybody lol Did you see how far Tony could drive down into the turns off the banking !! he drove in like 60ft farther than anybody

ha ha and from last to 3rd in one lap

The IROC race was pretty entertaining. It kinda makes me wonder how well Stewart would do in F1 if he was given some seat time. Seems like the guy can race just about anything.

Too bad my boy Truex didnt have much of a showing.

The TRG folks told us at Mid Ohio that they were down on power (and speed) to the Porsches but had better handling.

And the Mazdas have always been very loud. Back in the IMSA GTO/GTU days they were always way louder than everyone else.

The RX8s weren't at Watkins... but the BMWs were freaking loud!

I love the sound of the GTO.Rs... they sound sooo much different than any other race car you can tell when they go by without even being able to see

Yeah he's got natural skill and can drive the wheels off just about anything..


Ha ha Truex was doing ok till he spun like 4x then drove under the tire barrier ..
