man, last night, I was in the process in painting my brake calibers and behold. The stock wheels would not come off. It took me roughly 30 minutes just to remove 1 wheel with alot of banging and cussing:-punch:

but I won. I see that the hub is a bit too big for the wheel so, I took a grinder and brought that puppy down to size. Man, didn't gm noticed this when they stuck the wheels on or is it just my GTO that had a problem??

GRINDING????? Ouch..!! Put some ANTI SEIZE lube around the hub after you take a scotch brite pad and clean the gunk, rust off of it first. The ANTI SEIZE will do you justice.

That's the metal on your hubs reacting with the aluminum on the rims. It's normal and is why you need to put some anti-seize on the hubs after you clean them off.

I hope you didnt grind too much off!!!!

But even with that, you will end up with the same problem if you don't apply the anti-seize. Pull the wheel off while it is still fresh and do the deed.

I feel your pain, I did had to fight like hell to get them off. WD-40 and some light grit sandpaper solved that problem.
