You can fit 275's by rolling the rear fenders.
But 305's would require more work.
I know one fellow in Florida and BMR and a couple of others have done tubs on the rear wells to fit fat tires.
I'd kill for some 315's. Well, you know, figuratively speaking. :)

the single biggest screw up on the GTO was not being able to run more than 275's without some major work....

There is not a single car that looks good with 3 spoke rims. They completely ruin an otherwise good looking car.

I agree! That's the only complaint I have about this car.

The only thing a 3 spoke looks even remotely good on is a bike, and then it depends on the design...
He had to do some major mods to get those to fit, and they might even still rub.
If I was there I would just buy a brand new HSV GTO over that one, not much more costwise.

You sure those are wheels? They look like wheel covers from the ghetto isle at Autozone....

I'd like to see how much they hacked/sawzall'd the inner fenders

I think the biggest mistake by Holden/GM/Pontiac was equiping a 400hp car with 235's. I meant what the hell were they thinking? It was allright when TM was present, but now that I am putting around 375-380 to the wheels my stock tires are going to be gone in no time. :)

For some reason the Aussie's have really poor taste when it comes to rim choices. :barf: :barf: :barf:

I don't mind the rims, different is cool. Reminds me of the old school Brabus rims people used to run on Mercedes Benz cars.

The car is/was based on a sedan, it wasn't intially designed as a "sports car" more of a touring car.
If it was a whole new car from the ground up, then yes they would have likely made the wells wider.
