I'm trying to get a set of stock 18s only because I really like the look of them opposed to my stock 17s. Now, I have a coupe questions about switching:

1. Do I have to get an alignment just from switching?
2. Do I have to get my speedo recalibrated?
3. Is there really any difference in straight line acceleration? 18?=slower than 17s?

Hopefully, you all can set me straight on those things.

-Nate

1. No, but you should anyway.
2. No.
3. If you're just strictly talking about stock 17" vs. stock 18", then no.

1. Always get an alignment when you get new tires. They will last longer.
2. No, but some people that have the software do. I do. The difference will be minimal, depending on tire diameter.
3. The stock 17s hook better for me. I have 2 GTOs 1 with 18s and the other with 17s. The 18s are MUCH better in the twisties. THe 17s hook better. The 17s are a better ride. All IMO of course.
