hey guys whats up? got some new after market rims installed and noticwe that the right rear wheel sticks out more than the left reaer wheel. its barely noticeable but enough to make me wonder why? could it be because my news rims are not the same offest as the oems? anynone else with this probem?

You most likely need a rear cradle alignment, unfortunately it's big bucks (around $500) and it's not covered under warranty (well unless you have less than 7500 miles IIRC) even though most are off from the factory, which is complete BS IMO.

It's normal. Mine are not precise either. I saw another GTO and his was off too. Factory specifications allow for a little bit of weirdness.

This is why some people have rubbing issues with larger tires, and some people don't. It's also why some folks have header fitment issues. The body alignment / assembly is very inconsistant on the GTO.

Mine is offset to the driver's side about 5mm. 1/2 inch sounds like a lot.

Exactly, Mine is the same way even after the cradle alignment. Once I put a drop on my car I can't get my Beyern 9.5 with wheels with a 275 tire to work on the passenger side even with an extensive lip grind, but it was easy to make it work the drivers side.

Seems like every car is different.

cradle alignment will fix it

don't count on that 100%. It helped mine a little, but did not fix it. I watched my cradle being aligned at Rossi Pontiac, they know what they are doing.

it may not be 100%, but its 90+, mine was way off as are many others. at least on the 04's

My car is the same way, the right rear is extremely close to the fender lip while the left has plenty of room. I just had a 4 wheel alignment as well as the cradle alignment done at DMS. The clearance didn't seem to change at all and the guys at DMS said my rear cradle was way off.
