Looks Like I Need New Rims.......

Just got an email from Gary at Ronal. I don't know if I posted about my having two bad rims from them. They sent two replacements but one of those was just as bad as the one on the car so I had to send it and the worst of the two on my car back to them. Now he's telling me that he can't get any more of my offset for the GTO. He's offered a set of the R41's, chromed, but with an offset of ET 48 instead of 42, making for a 6mm inboard shift or closer to the strut. Don't think I want to get another 1/4" closer to those struts as it's way too close now for comfort. SO........what does the group suggest for me? I REALLY like the Ronal five spoke design that I have now, but I just can't run on an out-of-round rim, for safety's sake if nothing else. I need a new set of chromed rims.........17" only, as I've got two new sets of tires in that size. Suggestions?...........

Does he mean he will NEVER get the 42mms again?!

I not happy.

If something happens to one of mine I would like to be able to buy another.
The 42mm offset 18X8 Ronal fits the GTO perfectly. I doubt that the 48MM
would look as good and might rub.

I dunno about 18's but the 17's for sure. He claims that Ronal has turned all their production to OEM buyers so we aftermarket guys are out of luck. Had I known this I would have never bought these rims, regardless of how well I liked the look. I think it's very poor business to not inform the market of these supply problems, they had to know about it IMO.........I'm pissed.
