I have less than 11,000 miles on my Toyo T1-S 275/35/18 rear tires, and they're pretty much gone. I will definitely need new tires before State Inspection in February. They were great tires when new, but they have a really low treadwear rating and now that they've worn down, they break traction easily. I mean VERY easily.

So, I'm tire shopping again and this time will go with an "all season" tire that should get me through next year (assuming I don't smoke 'em off the car.)

P.S. I've done a FEW burnouts on the Toyo's, but not THAT many. I think they've worn down from simple "aggressive driving."

I hope thats no an indication of what I can expect with the Proxy 4. Those are all season tires and I'm hoping to get more than 11k!

How are the front tires. Did the tread hold up there?

Well I have 13K on my Toyo Proxy 4's and still have alot of tread on them. I wasted the KDWS in the first 3500 miles then I had the Toyo's put on. I have done alot of hard launches and ran down the track about 14 times this year. IMO Proxyes are the way to go I will be buying new ones in the spring.

I have a hard time believing that "a few burnouts" line there...

I've seen people get 10K mi out of R-compound tires with 60 treadwear ratings...I looked it up and the T1-Ss have a 280 rating. How do the fronts look by comparison?

my pole postion tires only got 11,000 miles also, the front ones are still ok but definately have to replace the rears.
