I painted my calipers red today and decided to get some new lug nuts.

I think they look "less cheap" than the stock covers?

I'll have to get back to you on the thread of them.

I picked them up at my local Murrays store. They are Gorilla brand and one on each wheel is locking (which I like). They seem to fit fine, haven't driven the gto yet since.

I just used regular $4 high temp paint in a can, not the $20 caliper paint kit. I have a little paintbrush, and I sprayed some on a piece of newspaper and dipped the paintbrush in it. Total it cost me $4 ($25 for the lug nuts).

I tasped off the area I didnt want red and sprayed. Then I used the paintbrush to get into the little areas.

I went with the black chrome nuts from McGard. They cost a bit more, but I hope the cost is worth it in the end.

Those black Lugs look smooth on the black car! Any Idea where I can get them online and exactly which ones I need?

sorry for taking or using your idea, I like it!

I got mine from Summit (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part =MCG%2D65557BK&N=110&Ntk=KeywordSearch&Ntt=mcgard) . They are about $90 for the complete set, but McGard makes a quality product that should not rust. I've used less expensive ones in the past and had to replace them way too soon.

Hey Hey Nike... I put chrome wheel lug nuts on mine before I left the dealer, I picked them up from a local wheel/tire shop for $1.00 ea., size= 12mm 15, you can also get them at Checkers stores. I also put the chrome valve stem sleeves and caps on, Sure gives the stock wheels a much richer look than the cheap looking stock plastic lug nut covers and valve stem caps. I also came across an extra set of stock wheels and tires and got the wheels chromed back in Sept. they look super good but I'm with ya on some Cragers or Amer Rcng torqs. Later!
