Thats great. So I have found a local mod shop that has a dyno. Get this they are called Blood Enterprises. Anyway they charge $95 for an hour on the dyno and say that they can usually do about three runs. Now being a complete virgin can you please explain what happens so I don't look like a complete dufus.

Sure sounded like an M6 in an extended 4th. Most just hammer an A4 through the gears and hold 3rd/lock the converter.
