In my other post I said I was going to buy rims that had darks spokes but I changed my mind. I still didn't want chrome so I ended up with these.

Zenetti 18x8.5 with Toyo Proxy 4's.

I like them, and they sure look like they give lots of room for a brake upgrade.
I wonder what the dark spokes would look like on Quicksilver.

What I meant was they are now my favorite wheel.

It's really really nice.

What size Toyos, mlc? 245/40-18s all around?

Wheels look nice on the black Goat, I think!

Yup. And the rims have a 42mm offset.

I see on Zenetti's website, they don't offer that wheel with a dark spoke. The
finish you have does look very good on a black car. Any idea of weight, mlc?

It's lookin' good in my opinion...Maybe some caliper painting in the future?

I'm not sure on the weight. I should have a chance to weigh the rim/tire combo this weekend.

Not only the calipers but the hub too. I noticed on my hubs they started to rust from water being trapped behind the stock rims. These rims are a little smaller at the hub and a close look reveals about a 1/4 of rust on the edge.

Looks nice, love the polished lip. You really need a brake kit now though... stock rotors look puny behind any open spoke rims.

I think they look great, especially on the Phantom. Nice lip, nice color, nice look.

Hell ya... Nicely done! Those are indeed sweet looking wheels. Are they hubcentric or did you have to get spacers?

Cheers...

Thanks all.

 Admittedly I'm not sure what hubcentric means. I can tell you there was a very thin, what looked like plastic, ring that was placed on the hub. It looked liked a gasket you use in plumbing.

FYI

I weighed the rim with tire and compared to the stock ones.

Stock combo = 49.7#
Zenetti combo = 48#

the Zenetti's are hubcentric.

How did you get so much rust on the rotors on a 2004 if you dont drive it in the
winter? I guess storing the GTO isnt going to stop it, you think they would come
up with a way to make rotors from the factory that dont rust, especially when
they put open wheels on them.

Within about 3 months of buying the car I noticed rust coming from both front center caps. There was water trapped inside and it was rusting the hub. I dried them and coated with it with grease. That stopped the water problem but the rust damage was done. Now, with the new wheels you can see it so I have some cleaning to do in the spring.

Do you guys think 275's could be put on the back of this setup with no fender mods? How much did you pay for yours?

Everytime I see aftermarket wheels I see how crappy our brakes are.
