http://www.gravanatuning.com/prod_images/large/GRV-2002-0101.jpg

Gravana announces the release of our new GTO Radiator Cover. This product is a high quality hand-laid carbon fiber piece built in the USA. The Marine-Grade UV Gel Coat offers a glossy "Wet-look" finish and incorporates an air vent similar to the OE plastic piece. The air intake vent includes Stainless Steel mesh for the ultimate durability. Each product is manufactured to withstand the high temperatures under the hood of your GTO. This product is an easy bolt-on using stock fasteners, and requires no drilling.

That would be nice with the Carbon Fiber CS Pipe and maybe Carbon Fiber Engine Covers (that thing that says GTO...not sure what it is really called).

To each his own, but sometimes I feel like I am on some ricer board with all this carbon fiber stuff... :barf:

Everybody wants something different for their cars and more power to them but I'm with you, I want to spend my money on items that actually increase performance of something.

Years ago when I saw all of the C/F parts on a Corvette C5 and some Mustangs, I had a similar reaction. However, it grew on me. It was several years ago at the Mid America show in Pomona, I was looking at two C5 Corvettes next to each other, one with all billet accessories and the other with all Carbon Fiber accessories, and the C5 with the Carbon looked a little classier. That is what truly changed my opinion.

I agree with Jim. I ordered the CF rad cover form him. I am as far from the "ricer" crowd that we all tend to dislike...but I want my car to look different. Everybody who sees my car, usually at the road track, wants to see the engine, and I want it to not only run fast, but to look pretty sharp.

Anymore, even though I don't get some of the "ricer" antics...I admire people who mod or personalize their car. I am an architect, so I look at the "design" of an item.

A few of us won't do heavy engine mods...so I like some appearance mods, suspension mods and engine mods such as plugs/wires/intake and so on.

Carbon fiber is used extensively in the world's best race cars and supercars. I respect any attempt at weight savings (to RedThunder's question), plus I honestly think CF looks classy. I always have my eye out for carbon fiber pieces for my cars; just because something is unique and high-tech doesn't give ricers the exclusive right to use it.

I am far from the ricer crowd, but the CF radiator shrowds do add a clean and sleek look to an engine bay. I personally havnt seen the Gravana one but I have seen them on lightnings.

I considered a polished aluminum radiator, but as I laid up pieces of sheet metal to get a feel for the look, it just looked cheesy. The C/F looks classier and weighs less than aluminum. To each their own...

We will be packaging the Carbon Fiber components in various groups. The packaged price will be less than purchasing each item individually.

Thank you!

Here's a pic of my cover I just put on. Doesn't show how good the cover really looks. The fitment was fine but I did have to open up the mounting holes slightly.

Yes, the fiber pattern and color matches pretty close for different manufacturers.
