I think these are some of the best looking wheels for the GTO. When I need new tires, I'm going to probably go ahead and get the Beyern Type 5's with new rubber. I'm going to get the 18x8.5s all around. My question is what are the chances of these rubbing the fender lips? I'm a little uneasy about having the fenders rolled. Is there a certain tire that fits just right to reduce the chance of rubbing on these wheels? Thanks in advance.

Beyern 5's 8.5 x 18 with Nitto 555 245/40/18's all around.
I've had them a week. No rubbing issues at all when it's just myself and another front seat passenger. If I then add anyone to the back seat, I will ocassionally get rubbing inside the rear wheel wells on rough pavement or bumps. This is in spite of what Discount Tire told me. My plan now is to replace the rear springs to get an extra inch of lift.....rather than roll the fenders. I have temporarily inserted some inexpensive rubber spacers in the rear springs which seem to do the job also. Might even just leave those there.
Also do a search under Beyern 5 in the wheel forum. There are other recommendations on tires for the Beyern 5 8.5 x 18 size wheel size.

Well they're on and they look badass to the max......rears clear fine but fronts are a little tight, makes me nervous on rough roads so I think I'm gonna go with a 1"plus front Pedder spring to replace the so-called "oem" ones I'm running on now. That should give me enough room.
