I took the goat in today for new tires(bfg g-force sport 245/45/zr17)
the sevice manager said they will not cover any of it due to it's an alignment issue, even though my wife has not complained ofthe car pulling.( i've explained to her that it does not have to pull in order to wear out the tires) The manager also says that it's time for new tires anyways because their down to the wear indicators anyways. In the mean time there is extreme inside tire wear on all four tires, the front left and the right rear actually have split were the sidewall meets the top of the tire.(let me defend myself here... i just got back from iraq a few months ago... we bought the car for her as a new dd while i was gone for 18 months.) with 24,417 miles as a daily driver no track use...drag or road, this is purely un acceptable tire wear. Worst of all nobody from the dealer told my wife of the premature tire wear nor was there any documentation on any of the ro's, during any of seviceing that they have done to her car(they done everything...car has gone nowhere else)
I have read up on some of the strut rub issues on here but was unable to tell whlie the tires are on the car if there is any rubbing. i have asked to see the specs on the alignment... before and after to see how much it was out...
but i even had one of there mechanics come up to me and say they aligned his three times and it still did not fix the problem.
i know buying 18's with the correct backspacing will fix the problem but as for right now that is not really an option.
ANY suggestions recomendations comments or opinions are welcome

If they have done all the service, then I would be pissed that they didn't
notice it and recommend the alignment, etc. I would talk to the Service
Manager at the dealer about it, and explain about having all your service
done there. Also ask him why they didn't notice this if they are the only
ones servicing the car. See what he says...

I would call GM and complain like hell. Tell them your circumstances. Their number is 1-866-790-5600. That number will get you to the person you want to talk about this problem, customer assistance. I just yesterday took mine in for an alignment and found I had strut rub on my left front strut. I have only 7K miles so I got the alignment free. I would do a search here and find out what you need to try and solve the problem with the rub. As I see it, you need more camber to get the tire away from the strut. Also, make sure you have 35 lbs. air pressure in tires,

Oh, by the way

Thanks for the job you guys are doing over there:-patriot:
