I just picked up a set of these cheap, how well will they work as a drag tire? I know they have a stiffer sidewall but they are also a soft compound. I 'm thinking they have to be better than the stockers.

Looks like they work great for you! Did you get the 1.6x 60' with those? It didn't look like you did much of a burnout; do you need to heat them up much or just basically clean them off?

Nice run man.. Your launch was great, hardly any spin.. I just put the NT01's on a couple weeks ago.. I need to practice my launch.. :D

What tire pressure are you at ?

Ive had the NTO1's for 6months now,they are a great tire for twisty roads,autocross and limited drag racing. I think that drag radials work better for hard launches though,the soft sidewalls absorb the initial torque shock and reduces wheel hop. The burnouts can eat up a good set of street tires fast.

Thanks all for the input, since I only paid $100 each including mount and balance I had to give them a try.

I second that:eek: I love the NTO1's they get alot of attention the first thing people think is they are wore out,next is are they legal.

I called up my local discount tire inquiring about drag radials and they asked if I were interested in these. Someone purchased them not realizing what they were(Mustang owner no less) and returned them a couple of days later. They are just like new but they had to sell them as used; that's how I was able to get the deal.
