widest tire on stock rims?

Hey guys, whats the widest tire that can be fitted onto the stock 17"s the gto comes with? My friend was just wondering if he could put wider tires in the back while retaining stock size up from. thanks :drink:

275 drag radials will fit, some rub some dont

I have heard the same thing about 275's, but to be on the safe side get ya some drag bags! :)

275 nittos look more like 255 BFGs, so those should work fine:)

so regular tire size would be 255 huh? friend is looing to install all seasons.
