The outter shifter ring looks like it will be very close to the trans tunnel, with the ripshift their is a replacment allen for the RR bolt cause the ring has to be located so far back for the shifter position. The B&M is couple mm forward.

Looks exactly like an F-body t-56 shifter, part number 45052.

(It's actually for a T-5 Mustang)
Just a picture to show what a "Ripper" shifter looks like.

The stock shifter is kind of a POS. It is ok in you drive like a muggle. If you drive it hard and fast you will eventualy miss a gear. The RipShifter is amaizing. Fast accurate shifting that feels soild as a rock. We will see how the B&M does. It will likely be 100 times better than stock but not quite up to par with the RipShifter. JMHO

Eight weeks!!! Is this thing gonna be better than Ripshift or not I wonder. Already on group list for Ripshift and ready to fork the $400. If the B&M is even close in the improvements it make though, it might be worth the wait.

you will save $200 if you go B&M, look in the long run. The installation cost or effort will be the same either way you go.

I've said all along that I'll be waiting until spring. Then I'll be doing a Stage 2 clutch and a new shifter. But if I can feel a noticable Improvement between the Rip and the B&M I may pay the differance. Especialy if it is $100 or less to upgrade to the better unit. Who knows? maybe maybe the B&M will be a better unit than the Rip...
