Ok, so I wanted to buy new rims for my 06 GTO...... I really had my mind set on the c6 corvette rims..... went to the rim and tire shop, they said the c6 rims do not fit on the new GTO'S...... I was wondering how the heck have the other people on this forum have them??? I have seen plenty of pics with people who have c6 and z06 rims on their GTO's..... I want to know how they do that??? The tire place said they fit, but they will not install them and will not be responsible for damage in time..... they said I will have small vibration....So I need some help guys..... Can anyone tell me how to make the C6 vette rims work? Or am I out of luck?? If I can't have the c6 vette rims can anyone tell me the next best rims and tires to buy??? I want something light weight and in chrome..... any ideas???

What the tire shop said is correct. The Bolt pattern is slightly off and the offsets need to be worked a little. Most here are using longer, stronger studs to mount the Corvette rims. There are a few posts explaining how it's done, you'll just have to search for the info.

If you can't find any of your answers using the search feature, you can give me a call and I will answer all I can. My number is (318) 393-3959. I believe I was the first to put the C6 Z06 rims on a GTO. Here is a pic of my GTO before I had that damned bridge pull out in front of me!

It’s funny how much people get upset about a small thing. The pattern on a GTO is 5x120mm, on a Vette it’s 5x4.75” or translated to metric, 5x120.65mm. That means it’s off by .65mm or .025 of an inch. Most are making a mountain out of a molehill.
What is a pain in the ass is the offset of the wheels, the fronts sit too deep naturally so you have to have spacers or it will rub. There are no perfect spacers that fit the GTO exactly so either you rig it a bit or have spacers made (like mine). You will have to use longer studs to accommodate the spacers. Again, not the largest problem but it will take some work replacing them (I did this on my own with no problems).
The rears don’t take any special work. They go right on adn even with my 275 rears, thanks to the offset they don’t rub.
