Hey guys
I dropped my car off at a shop the other day to get my fenders rolled for my new wheels and tires. The mechanic had a $400 rental tool that I believe is the same one that Top Shelf Performance rents out. The next day, he calls me and tells me that he can't roll the fenders.
He tried to explain it to me but honestly he just lost me. He said he got part of the passenger side rear fender rolled but couldn't even touch the driver's side rear fender. I believe he said the problem was something like there being a gap between the fender and the wheel well that he had never seen on a car before.
I then asked him about cutting the fenders right up to the welds. He said he could do this but it would only provide about 1/8" of room tops. How much room did the rest of you all gain from cutting?
Anybody have any problems such as these while rolling the fenders or any ideas what the problem could be?
Thanks for any help guys
