Checked on these, since they were what came on the BMW 325i ZSP that I traded in on the goat. 17 x 8, 120mm x 5, 47mm offset. They are quite light, and have a really great finish (sparkling silver). Might keep my eyes open for a set of take-offs on the BMW forums. Here's a 'shopped photo on my car....

That's a helluva PS job; I looked at the pics before reading your entire post, and if you hadn't mentioned it, I'd've sworn they were real.

...And they look great. Really great.

Nice. Any idea of weight savings?

Thanks. That's my occupation (I'm a self-employed graphic designer).
I haven't weighed the GTO stockers, but I remember weighing the BMW wheels/tires (with 225-45-17 Dunlops) and they where about 44 lbs. combined, so I would estimate the wheel weight at about 20 lbs.

So that would make the tires 24lbs. That doesn't sound right.

I had a 2000 328Ci with the 17 inch M-spoke wheels. 17 x 8 in the front and 17 x 9 in the rear. They were part of the "sport" package, so I assume they were lighter than stock wheels. These 119s you're talking about, are just a different design for basically stock wheel (not part of "sport" package). I doubt they are much lighter than the GTO's stockers, if at all.

They do look nice, BUT, I had to look hard to tell the difference from them and the stock wheel. They aren't any bigger than the stock wheel so you're not going to get any bigger tires on them. What's the point?

The type 119 IS the wheel included with the sport package on the 325i and 325Ci. Type 68 (which is what I believe you are calling the "M-Spoke") is the wheel included with the 330i and 330Ci sport packages (which have the staggered setup). I know I weighed the 119's (with tires) that came on my 2004 325i Sport Package car and they were 44 lbs. Perhaps someone else has weighed the stock GTO wheel/tire package. I doubt they are more than 52 lbs or so. I think they look better (simpler design) as the wheels have never been one of my favorite things on my GTO (too retro for my taste; looks like a big daisy flower). That said, I don't think I would shell out too much, as my car is on a SmartBuy and I'll probably be giving it back to Pontiac in two years........

FYI: Just checked a tire weight chart I saved earlier this year (via tirerack) and it lists a 215/45/17 Dunlop Sport 9000 at 23.2 lbs. I would assume a 225-series would be a bit heavier, if anything.
