Although, I do not know of reputable brands, and whether a certain brand is worth saving the extra money for. I will be changing retainers to titanium as well as the locks, timing chain, and oil pump when the cam swap happens. My long term goal is to have this car running 450-500 rwhp, this is a DD even though I take the bus to work to keep the miles off of her. So my main questions to you are what brand valve springs would you recommend? Is my goal realistic with the listed mods, and will this cam/whichever valve springs provide a dependable DD. Farther down the road I will get the TB, intake manifold, and head PnP'd.
From my understanding on this forum, you are THE MAN to talk to when it comes to cam swaps, and clearance/fitment issues, as well as understanding the goals of the drivers rwhp and whether it is a DD or race car. That being said, I currently own a 2005 GTO M6 with 48k on the clock, it is bone stock, but will have a Vararam CAI, kooks sig series headers, kooks afterburner axleback, and pedders rear drag coils by the time I have everything together for the cam swap. I just recently bought a TSP Torquer V2 with 112 lsa from a ls1tech member, and am looking at what kind of valve springs I should get. I have done a little research and I would like to get dual valve springs with a maximum lift of .650" for peace of mind even though the cam is only .595/.598.
