i just swapped out my ferrodo ds2500's to try out my ebc yellows. i will tell you i am pleasantly suprised with them. i have them on the front for the moment and will be adding them to the rear once i get the depth of the pad shaved down to the d51 that i need for my special app.
the initial break-in is dusty due to the red break-in layer on top of the actual friction material. there was some slight squeals to be heard as the pads seated against my fairly smooth rotors. Dust has reduced to just above oem levels at this point. It appears that the dust will be less as they completely seat up to the rotor.
the initial bite is not harder than the best i've felt (mintex extreme pads), but damn near close. they feel very linear and very good overall. i have not taken them to a road course yet but they have done very well in heavy street driving. they grab better the hotter they get, however, the cold bite is just fine for daily driving.
i only have several hundred miles on them and will post up more info as they bed in. They are over 90% bedded in.
i want to thank ebc for providing the pads for this reveiw. the only drawback at this point is that my calipers look like they came from Mcdonalds'
stay tuned for more on the yellows as i get the rears modded and installed. Ebc red pad review to follow.
FINAL REVIEW:
These are great overall. The stopping power is outstanding hot and good when cold.
Those of you concerned with dust, it's moderate. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say 6 ish.
They fade a little when driven super hard. For a dedicated track car, driven at high speeds, these may not be the ticket. For those of you playing around and out on weekend track days, a great pad for the money.
I'm running EBC Yellows too, and love them. They do dust slightly more then OE pads, but stop excellent. They've been on for about a year now and are holding up very well.

good to hear, do you have any experience with the reds?

You should enjoy them. They are on the front and rear for me, no warping of rotors or cracking. 25+ passes at the track and 10K on the street; they are still holding up well.
A small update: the rears are still being made but the fronts are fully bedded in.
These pads do want several heat cycles (hot to cold) to perform their best. I now have them fully bedded in and will tell you that they have more stopping power than the Mintex extreme pads that i initially compared them to. They are really good and i can lock up the fronts super easy if i feel like it. They are very linear and abs keeps to it's own more so than i thought it would, which is very nice.
While breaking them in and cycling them, they feel slightly funny at times. Sometime they feel like they grab more or less, nothing to worry about. Once that feeling is gone, they become very predictable.
NOISE: NONE (I HAVE APPLIED THE EBC PROVIDED SHIM TO THE PADS)
COLD PERFORMANCE: TOP NOTCH, ON PAR WITH OEM STUFF.
HOT PERFORMANCE: STAND ON IT, THEY WILL LOCK UP IF YA PLEASE.
DUST: LOW, SOMEWHAT HIGHER THAN THE OEM PADS.
All i need is a couple of track days now......
Stay tuned for the updated review with the rears on.

I have been running them for a year on DBA 6x6 slotted rotors. Daily driven, 20+ track passes, lots of 140+ to 60MPH slow downs. The brake preform amazing, dust is the same if not slightly more then stock.
I ran these at the track past weekend and I thought they did exceptional! Granted, I'm just a noobie, but I pushed the car pretty hard and even on 35 minute session I had no noticeable brake fade. Remember, this is with stock 04 brakes and RGS610 fluid (slightly better than Motul 600). I took them off yesterday to put OEM pads back in, and there is probably 70% of pad left, so the longevity is pretty good as well.
What really surprised me, though, is how streetable those pads are. They feel just like OEM in cold bite. I'm hoping to get couple more track days out of them and hopefully they will do even better next time since I'll have 05-06 setup.

This is good info for me. However, I'm getting the impression they may be a bit agressive for my driving style. Are these like a full on racing pad? I don't go to the track, but I do alot of "spirited" high speed runs with other cars... I'm still on the OEM pads and they are horrible. They can handle about one hard slow down, but that's it. After that it feels like they are 2 blocks of wood clamping down on the rotor. I don't daily drive the car, I mostly drive it on the weekends. How many miles are these yellow pads supposed to last for?
I guess there is nothing wrong with having brakes a little more on the overkill side. Do you think it would be possible to get about 20k miles out of them?
How are you liking these at this point? Are they a lot less dusty that the DS2500's? How do they compare to the DS2500's performance wise? Thanks! Pat
A lot less dusty! The dust is way easier to take off. The ds2500 pad feels very oem like and does not grab hard until you heat it up. I am under the impression the ebc yellow will fade sooner though. The yellows are wearing quite well.

Off topic... The thread was erased but are those wheels still being made?
Yes you can. I'm running yellows on an 06 setup, even had a full HPDE on them. The yellows seem to work like stock when cold but grab better when heated up.

i am waiting for a call, i gave the go ahead. fox whatever (mod) zapped it because i posted what they should run. Total bs... there have been several members who have sold stuff and still do without being sponsors. If it works out, i will get ahold of you. I doubt i'll post up, the members interested can thank fox for the unreasonable censorship. Still wanna see the tubs..

Yeah I installed them a few weeks ago before a track day and they are great. you guys are right the dust level was better than the hawks and the increase in performance was also very nice. I would recommend them to anyone for street or track. Maryland speed has them pretty cheap if anyone is interested in them.
