That is pretty extreme lol. Makes my previous GTO with H/C/I and 3" Spintech look like nothing. I couldn't take the drone with that one at all. I would literally have a headache after driving it, so two days after the install, I had a couple magnapacks welded in the straight pipe where the stock mufflers were. Sounded just about perfect after that! The more I watch these videos of my old spintech, the more I want to put it back on! lol. The current Flows are ok, but they sure don't give me that SEG on startup like the spintech did.

Favorite quote from the Prius forum.

the prius tops out at 108... yeah.. i know.. it does 107 easy.. does 108 easy.. and you still get 15mpg... but that's it.. you can't go faster than 108.. trust me.. i tried when racing an M3 down a highway.. all downhill.. only reason he beat me ( i had low profiles on the car) is because he tops around 150.

This has to be louder than any other GTO in the U.S. Open headers, no cats, no mufflers, no resonator, cammed, etc. Has anyone heard anything louder?

Mine's louder.

Sounds good. I'm considering taking off the Corsa Sport & going back to the stock exhaust. Then just drop the whole cat back for track time.

why are GTO's so loud? My 04 is louder than my race car that has bullets straight off the headers and a hellofa lot more motor

The corsa on the GTO was so loud I put a 24in bullet on it under the car, and its still loud as shit. and thats on a 3in sinlge setup.

I guess the MS3 and ported intake don't help

My buddy has a '04 heads/cammed Goat. We decided to take the mid-pipes off one day to see how loud the open headers were. The video serves no justice, we were screaming at each other at idle sitting 10inches away. It is just plain nuts how loud a cammed/open longube header car is.

Amen to that. 05Judge's car was loud as shit with his 427.

Doesn't sound as loud in the video, but I've stood next to it and there was no holding a conversation within 20 feet of it when it was idling.

Sounds like shit. If I were one of his neighbors, I'd take a shot at him. Are we supposed to believe that he's running a 7 second dragster? V8 rice.

Have to agree...mine is pretty damn loud but that is utterly obnoxious esp. where each house is ontop of one another. Imagine getting woken up lets say at 6 A.M. by that or better yet, having that thing come home around 1-2 A.M. I love loud cars but that it annoying.

Idle-sounds nice
Acceleration-sounds like annoying noise with no real pitch or solid sound
Volume-enough to make you deaf while driving a month~ and noticed by anyone within literally a mile or 2

Loud's ok if you wanna screw around with that once in a while or at a track, but on the street as a weekend or DD is just stupid. Especially if a cop pulls you over and has a sound decibel meter. If a cop does that, not only will you be smurfed for no mufflers(no cats too depending on your state), but he will rape you if you try and fight it with a DB rating that's through the roof. I'm not sure about how harsh the exhaust laws are on opened headers or dumped exhaust though, so you could be smurfed worse than that.

I have to admit... when I had the exhaust off for the clutch install I had to start it up 3-4 times and just listen to it and rev it a couple times with open headers. It sounded like top fuel. And the plaster on the ceiling was literally falling off. Obviously not good for driving every day but once in a while just for shit's and giggles is cool.

My guess is that he just did an install and decided to fire it up without the exhaust, just for shits and giggles. I did that after my h/c install, and it sounded just like that.

Or he wanted to just take it off to see how it sounded, just for shits and giggles. Making assumptions here people, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't just drive around like that.

+1 I fired it up with my mids disconnected just to see what it'd sound like. I may be 46, but I'm still 18 at heart.

Well – now you’re just nit picking at the details… Too loud for my taste and I never thought I would say that…
