HOUSTON!!!?!?!? Man do I miss living there... I was in the Cy-Fair area when I lived there. I have not been back since... I do remember all the bad ass cars that were out when i was in the are though... ahhhh **reminisces**
Yeah man, keep us posted for sure!! Oh, btw, where did you get the custom clevis for your mustang coilover(s)???
That is bad ass... Chris and all his products are bad ass. I wonder if Chris will offer a whole Kit soon?? He is a strange distributor right?? Whole coilover setup for under 1200= bad ass.
The #150 springs arrived today, Monday morning, so I didn't get to try them out over the weekend. I did drive on the #200 this weekend though with no issues.
I've got the #150 springs in and they feel pretty good. I think they will be perfect for a full weight GTO or a lightened one with Nitrous in the back. I do like an overly soft ride though, most people will like the ride I'm sure. I may try a #125 spring later on just to satisfy my curiosity. My car is extremely light now with everything possible except the front seats pulled, and for me I think a #125 will be perfect after feeling the difference from the #200's to the #150's. I'm done for now though. I can play around with the rate's a little more later after I see the hit on the track. So far I am extremely happy with this kit. I think it's going to be a great seller for Chris.
Thanks for thoroughly testing the coil over kit out for me Jason.
Looks like it's full steam ahead on the production versions.
I'll get them up on the web site soon so everyone can start ordering.
I'll have 2 spring options. 150 LB for full weight cars and 125 LB springs for stripped cars.
I'm more then certain a person could use either spring by adjusting them up or down since there is a great deal of adjustability in this kit.
By the way... Here is a couple of quick snap and shoot pics of the suspension lowered using G-Force's rear Coilover kit and my homemade Mustang coilover setup for the front. I could easily go way lower or higher if need be.
Had more of a chance to beat on the setup with the #150's today. Damn, I'm really liking this more and more each time I drive it. I have been able to dial in the hit on the street pretty well. Their was a pronounced rebound that I had when I was first launching but I have dialed that out now. Seems like the car really doesn't require a whole lot of rebound control, but there is a fine line between too much and not enough. The compression control is really just dependent on how much squat you can tolerate to keep your tires planted without bottoming out on the bump stops. I have mine pretty soft and I can pretty much drop 1st at 4200 rpm on the street and dead hook, anything over will spin slightly. I will definitely try the #125 to give me a little more squat later, but so far this has proven to be great addition. I have the settings that I like wrote down for when I make changes at the track. I'll update with more info as I get it.
So for those of us who want tubs, this kit, plus weld in tubs, plus wide wheels....anything else required?

How about 'Chicken and I bring you our cars and write you a check? How about that?
Seriously. How much would that run? My PM box is ready like a drunken prom date.
Sorry guys, I just dont have the room or time to get into doing installs or mini tub jobs.
The guys at SNL are getting into that kind of work though.
They have the whole set up (modified control arms, coil overs..) that they are getting ready to put in WRP's car.
That will be difficult. Maybe we can all get together on a mini tub, widened wheels, modified control arms deal and the guys at SNL will give us a price that will make the drive down for you guys and the drive up for me worth it.
I'll have the car down in the late part of December putting in the 33 spline stub to hub setup, so I'll be ready come spring if you guys want to get together on this. I can contact Steve and see what kind of a price he can give us once he gets Bill's car done and knows the time he'll have in each one.

That looks great how is the ride quality for street? Years ago I custom mounted a set of coil over shocks behind the axle on a IRS car that were meant to be mounted in front of axle it rode so bad I couldn’t even drive it. LOL Dampers have changed so much since then and can be tuned for so many applications to a point where the Damper is the biggest factor and not just a shock.
You know what, its cool seeing a good idea go from concept to a factory production looking product especially when you don’t have to cut up your car in the process and only need hand tools to radically change your suspension and best of all get the shock out of the way!
Makes me laugh, I started a thread a year or so back about using lower shock mount for coil overs and everyone said it wasn’t strong enough. I thought it looked plenty strong but what do I know. Even a well known suspension sponsor said it wouldn’t work. You all know how much I spent on 2 sets of XAs and don’t even have real coil overs on rear.

The ride quality can be tuned to what ever you want. I've got it tuned to a near stock ride quality, but with slightly less compression so the car will squat and hook up.
