amazing that has not sold. someone with some vision could repaint and put the right wheel/tire combo and have an exceptional car, assuming that the internals are all sound of course.
And they sealed the body line between the nose and the fenders. that was dumb. Now you can't take the nose off without cutting the seam or removing the fenders.

It's gonna take a hell of a lot more than just vision, some paint and wheels to make that look good. It's going to take a HELL of a lot of bodywork. The execution and fit is horrible on those kits without a ton of $$$ to make it looks right.

The body kit is likely the reason it hasn't sold... it's a mess!
This...
will be the only Outstanding looking RA6 made...
every attempt made has never turned out well. people should just give up. anyone with the money to throw at this kit to make it look perfect already owns a car appropriate to there salary lol. i.e. mercedes, high end bmw's, so on.
The front view looks hideous! They widened the front wheel wells waaaaaayyyyyyyyy to much! Headlight fitting is terrible. Definately needs some new wheels and tires. I think there is potential to it if someone wanted to put the time and money into it. Then again, it is an A4... I can see why it hasnt sold.

I mentioned this in the other thread - but I'll mention it here.
There is a headlight cover and taillight cover that is supposed to be installed to give it the appearance of proper fitment. It's justa piece of plexiglass that has been formed to the shape of the gap. Really not a big deal to fix and doesn't require any body work.
And to those who say trying to widebody the car is pointless. I'd disagree. I've had a body shop do my car. It turned out really well. There are a few more paint issues - but nothing that they can't fix.
Again - I think this is a steal for the initiated.l
I stopped and looked at this today. It actually looks pretty good (color scheme aside).
The body work is O.K. You can see the seam where the quarters were attached, and there is a crack in one spot. The rear spoiler was bonded on and is cracking at the edge a little.
The body fit is about as good as you would expect for fiberglass. I am sure you could make it better. There were a bunch of shims under the front fenders. The paint is actually pretty nice.
The car was silver originally. The engine is missing the FRC's and has a bunch of red accents painted and wrapped over wire looms, very tacky.
It has the ultimate ghetto exhaust, no cat back at all. That is simply missing. It sounds kind of cool but is way too loud.
Other than the body kit and the exhaust it is completely stock.
Also, the hood underside looks pretty bad, finish wise. Though it does retain the stock latches, bumpers and washer nozzles.
It looks like it was never cleaned up under the hood after it was in the body shop, very dusty.
I could not tell how much of the rear quarters were removed to do this. They had bonded the new quarters on the inside to the inner fenders, not too bad a job.
The front inner fender liners are missing.
The bumpers are bonded to the fenders and quarters. I don't know how that will hold up?
If I could get this really cheap I may consider putting the body on mine, returning this to stock and selling it. To bad it is an automatic.
Then again, I don't know that I have a lot of faith in fiberglass holding together for a daily driver year round in MN.

Pat
Here are some things I know about the kit.
Certain colors didn't look good on the car. Showed the seems and other issues with the kit. I'm sure more money and body work could fix that. I have a black one and I can't tell where it's attached.
I'm assuming the bottom of the hood had black paint and showed the texture of the glass - this is how mine is and it doesn't bother me much.
The best way of doing the rear quarters is to just bolt on the flares. Then, you need to cut the rear wheel well and move it out, put some sheet metal to fill the gap, attach it to the rest of the quarter flare. This will make the rear a nice solid wheel well. Spare some undercoating and you're good.
How the kit initially comes causes the front fender liners to be removed. With my install we actually installed sheet metal to push the liners out to the fender and cut to fit. This was a complain others had about Anthems install of the RA6 kit.
I'm assuming your comment of bumpers bonded to the fender and quarters refers to not being able to remove the bumpers. I saw some photos on the original Anthem site with them doing that. It does make the car look clean - but %*(&@ up your ability to remove it. That's a personal call really - but I chose not to do that since I'm constantly taking the front bumper off.
Rumor has it Midwest Auto? (Just search for RA6) purchased an RA6 kit and is making molds.
And to the fiberglass and daily driver. I personally wouldn't daily drive a fiberglass vehicle. Not unless you can do fiberglass / paint repair and fix all the cracks from normal wear and tear.
The orange one and the one the OP posted don't look alike and are different in alot of areas.
The only major differences I noticed were the front fascia was slightly different (the silver one has a middle support in the lower grill) and the silver one doesn't have the right lights to make it flow together.
^Hood and the panel in front of the rear wheel looks like it's sticking out. The side panel just looks different even though they're the same. Maybe it's just because it was put together on a budget.
Well with the headlight extensions I'd expect that it would line up fine. Also maybe the black hood contrasting with the silver paint makes it appear so.
As far as the panel in front of the rear wheel sticking out, what do you mean by that?
EDIT: Ah you ninja-editing bastard. I think the only reason the side panel looks different is because there isn't any wide wheels to fill in the gap.
minus the crappy red accenting
minus the beat to hell interior
minus the fact you would need new rims and tires
minus the fact you'd need a new paint job
GREAT CAR
