They came out amazing! They look just like the Blood Red CV8-R tails, which are pure sex... VERY nice job.

LOL! Yeah I'm the one. Thank you! I just like to ask especially when they look amazing. You did a great job! I did a set similar to yours not to long ago. I'm thinking of doing a set that looks just like the CV8 tails here very soon.

I'm keeping my eyes out for that, I want a set of CV8-Rs to switch up with my 06 tails. Hell I want to get a set of 05 tails too because they look great on SRM; if only I had enough $$$.

Wet sanding with something like 2500 grit usually takes care of orange peel (at least on normal paint, I'm not sure if the same applies to VHT niteshade)

05ls7gto answered well. I use 2500 wet sandpaper as a final before buffing and polishing. Depending on the finish after spraying them, I work from 1500 to 2500.

let me ask this different way do you get ALL orange peel off, say with 1500 then move on or get orange peel knocked down a little and still have some peel and go to say 2000 knock down peel some more but still have some then all peel gone with 2500 i hope this makes sence thanx Mark G.

You got it! Once I am done, I leave no traces of orange peal. I leave a smooth glossy surface. Be careful though. You can "burn" through your clear coat if you don't have enough to begin with.

If you want a set of 05 tails I'd be willing to trade my 05s for your 06 in a heartbeat. The black tails look much better than the reds on the PBM.

Haha thanks for the offer, but I want to buy a set of tails so that I can switch it up every once in a while.
