So did just doing the cam make your numbers go up from 349 to 412hp ? Or was there other mods done at the same time ?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo......

I saw the blower cam, and thought that this won't be the only milestone we see from this guy. What's next 500?

I'm shooting for 500 and will stop there. So far this is the most fun car I have owned. The blower will come after supporting mods like clutch, rear end and brakes.

Before mods were as follows:

JBA Headers / JBA Catted Mid Pipes / JBA Plug Wires / Borla Cat Back / SLP Predator 421 Bob Cat tune / Volant cold air intake and Mobil 1 engine oil. That put me at 340 rwhp and removing the lid off the Volant was 349 rwhp.

Now since then I added:

Vararam CAI / Stage 2 ported stock intake and TB from Fasterproms / Custom blower cam from Ed Curtis at FlowTech / Scorpion 1.7 roller rockers (new style) / Dyno Tune done by Precision Autosports in Beavercreek Ohio and Royal Purple engine oil with some NGK spark plugs. This combo put me at the 412 rwhp.

I did use the same dyno for both of the runs.

Something doesn't sound right. Bone stock should be putting down 330-350 thru an M6 without a tune.

Well that is what it did. I have seen some stock cars make more and some make less. Different dyno's as well. Not sure if this matters but the Dyno Jet was SAE corrected.

The complete cam package with new springs, push rods and new bolts for the cam and balancer was $1,349 from Ed at Flow Tech. I had a shop do the install and tune. As I have never installed a cam before and knew it would need a tune afterwards. So that ran $1,687.20. There was some extra work involved to clearance the stock valve covers for the new roller rockers.

All in all I'm pretty happy with the car so far. Might need to have the idle bumped up a bit.

Very nice!!

So the install & tune ran you $1600 bucks? An idle bump to ~900rpm's will probably work out well for you.

Yes because of paying for the HP Tuners licensing for my car and clearance the valve covers for the roller rockers. Shop labor and misc things like anti freeze and such.
