high idle after ported tb install and vararam

my car is idling at 1400 rpm when its stopped. i didn't have this problem before the ported tb and vararam. I called vararam and they say its the tb and to get new one. They said porting is a bad idea and thats what raised the idle. is there any truth to this. Im suppose to get the car tuned friday. i checked all around for vacuum leaks so i know its not that. please help

Who ported the TB? If it was opened up were the blade meets the body it's allowing too much air though.

Then I agree with Steel.

When I went from a 78MM to an 85MM it was screaming at start up.
The tuner then dialed it in.
