HSV trunk badge Q

Anyone have an HSV badge like this on their trunk – replacing the Pontiac arrowhead?

I do. Make sure you get a trunk badge. The hood badge is shaped different.

Look closer, guys. The one he posted has a driver's helmet within the lion. I've never seen one like that. Is it genuine HSV?

Yes. HSV (lion + helmet).

Just trying to figure out if theres a proper HSV badge for our trunks (VZ). In other words, it has the alignment pins and the right shape for the contour of the the trunk.

I've seen HSV GTOs with hood badges like this, but no trunk badges.

Stinking badges...

No Monaro based HSVs had a trunk badge due to the 3 piece spoiler... the spoiler-less VZ LE GTO Coupé didn't have one either so there is no "proper" HSV trunk badge for our cars. You'd have to source one from one the Commodore based models.

It's the HSV that the OP asked about.

I do, just because I won't spent $1,500 on a Monaro bumper. The arrowhead is blacked out, I think I'm going to shave it eventually.

Do you know what car it came off of or measurements? As the VZ coupes never had a trunk HSV emblem as pointed out.

Now that's what I'm talking about!

My ass end would look identical to that if I didn't have a faded arrowhead - down to the VX tails and Mav Man insert.

Looks like an Audi "SUPERCHARGED" badge in the lower right hand corner of the trunk. I have the chrome, Cobalt SS “SUPERCHARGED” badge in the same spot.

Wait a minute… where’s the indent for the license plate?

Where did you get the HSV badge from? Does it have the locating pins on the back?

I’m also planning on shaving off the front arrowhead and sticking an HSV badge on the hood – hybrid

You are correct on all counts.

I got the HSV badge from ebay AU, it had the pins on it but I trimmed them off since I had shaved my arrowhead when my trunk got keyed.

Here is another at a better angle. (it's dirty, cuz it ain't no show car)

Whoa Arthur, I never realized you filled in the trunk panel like that. That looks amazing.

Not all the trunk badges will have the correct line up posts on them. I had to shave mine down on my holden badge.
