I added 5mm spacers all around.

What spacers did you go with? Did you get extended wheel studs as well?

The spacers are eBay pieces for a BMW hub. Used plastic hub rings to center them. The rear definitely needs studs, fronts are just fine.

heres a little update for those wanting more pics. those first pics were with stock suspension parked on a angled driveway to see how it will look lowered.
now i lowered it for real lol.

im not building this car to be a race car or drag car, im building it to look good in my own eyes, which includes the "wrong offsets" with the "wrong tires" and making my car too low. lol

for the record im well aware my car is filthy

God that looks good.

By looking at the pics, I'd have never guessed +40 on a 10" rear though.

Car looks REAL good man,it's nice to see something new with these cars. I'm looking at a similar fitment but more race appropriate.

The paintwork looks a little dull and lifeless but the wheels look nice. I love the way it sits. Maybe next you can invest in a buffer.

Keep on keepin on bro.

THAT'S BETTER!

Looking good man. A little TOO low for my taste, but it's looking good. Have issues with speed bumps etc?

thanks for the kind words guys! and to answer a few questions, no i can hit the biggest speedbumps near my house without hitting them at an angle. however steep driveways i have to angle otherwise i drag front bumper or tips.

and slammin86, that is exactly what the paint is... dull and life less, the last owner let the car sit in the sun and hardly ever drove it (35k on a 05) iv washed waxed buffed, clay bared this thing and its pointless :/ but i am really interested in a matte satin red wrap.

blubrdls1, what part of santa rosa you in?

Those houses certainly look Santa Rosa (MIL lives there and go up there quite a bit and even used to go up there as a kid in the mid-80's when it used to be sort of small). I don't like the main city anymore, but what I do enjoy about that place is you can get out in the 'country' real quick...the 101 sucks balls though!

wheels look good...it's hard to tell in the pics, but it almost looks like there's white accents, although imagine that's just mill finish aluminum and probably contrasts by the polished part.

Car looks good. The rear wheel depth is sexy, they look a little too luxury for our cars to me but still very nice. Are they light being rays wheels.

A buffer in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing will bring that paint to life.

What is your suspension setup? Everyone is saying OMG SO LOW but it really doesn't look low to me. I think it is the illusion that the 19's with big lip gives. Maybe I am wrong.

It looks like his suspension setup is similar to mine at the moment.

I can tell you that it is effing low.

What is OMG I'M SLAMMED then?

You want the top of your tires touching the underside of the fender liners?

If the car has the tires tucked into the fender too far it looks dumb. Best stance is having the tires flush with wheel arch or slightly tucked by 1/4" or so.

I have Kooks headers and I bounced the skidplate off of a manhole cover once.

To me? That's low.

What's low is as subjective to what exhaust sounds good...

Doric, I would say you and slammin86 are pretty low.

Long tubes make a big difference with clearance. I like my junk low, and my main concern is my headers and mids. My old ones scraped a few times, and I wasn't as low as I am now. I do not do speed bumps anymore. I'll literally turn around if I come up on some.

You can actually see how low they hang in my sig pic.

I have longtubes also. I'm not gonna lie I have scraped the connecting flanges a few times also. I do not even attempt a speed head on. Always angle across it like a boss.

If/when I redo my exhaust, I'm getting rid of the flanges and going with band clamps so there is nothing to get caught.

A buffer in the right hands will give u a "like new" finish. I would suggest u look into a da such as a porter cable or megs. It does wonders with our soft clear coat.

I hate those band clamps with a passion. When you need to take your exhaust off for anything, they can be such a PITA.

I think I'm going to solve my headers-are-too-freaking-low problem by getting rid of the headers.
