2.6 pulley installed, very happy with results

Got it on today along with new belt and it really made a noticeable difference Doing some freeway pulls it definitely pulls harder and seems louder. I got the pulley from smoothflowpullys and really like the quality. Its a little tighter fit then the Pulley Boys. Not sure on belt slip yet but it is pulling stronger. Did some scans and am not seeing any KR at all. I imagine I am a little leaner as well which should add even more HP.

Have been running a 2.7 pulley since I got the car. The idler arm is pretty much 90 degrees now. I installed a Gatorback 100.5 inch belt, my old belt was a 101 inches. Idler arm is a tiny bit lower then it was with my old belt/pulley combo.

Not bad mod for $75 reminds me of doing pulley swap on my GP.

Might even take her to the track this coming Sat if it doesnt rain and see if I can improve my MPH.

Pulley

I also switched from a 2.8 to a 2.6" pulley. Added over 15 RWHP and boost duting dyno pull moved to 10.5 PSI. On the street it feels alot different and I really enjoy the extra power.

Are these 8 ribs? The pulley I got from pulley boys was not a polished finish so my belt would stick to it and whistle like cricket on steroids. Kept thinking on got some kind of fluid on the belt and replaced it but same thing after a few miles.

I think an approximate number is .5 increase in boost per drop in pulley. I may try a 2.8 from a 3

That's about what I saw. Less than one. Too many factors to say for sure, such as which blower, cubes, etc. comes of point of diminishing returns.

I know a lot of other members said they got 9 to 9.5 PSI with a 2.6 pulley on stock cam like mine. Mine only sees around 7 PSI on the 2.7 pulley. Pretty sure I read it should give at least 1 PSI if you are not slipping your belt.

I know i did a cam swap on mine and my boost dropped down to 4psi. I have a 3.2 up front now so a 2.8 would put me back up to 8psi, but being that i don't want to buy more pulleys than i need......

Congratulation on the new pulley and additional power. Nathan at Smoothflowpulleys does nice work. This summer I had him make hubs for the front and rear along with new bolt on pulleys for for all three. They came out really nice.

Yikes that is really low boost. I'd atleast go to a 2.8 or 2.9

I'd be a little worried running it without a new tune, but congratulations on your results.

I was a little too but it seems my last tune was pretty damned conservative. Not getting any KR, at least not in this weather. Might have leaned me out a tad in a good way since I was rich as heck before.
