I moved on from a GTO to a C5Z. Some days I really regret that decision. Most days I do not. Both cars have their good and bad issues. I could have kept both and I wish I did. For a pure performance aspect C5Z all the way. If you want the best of both worlds keep the GTO.

The GTO is raw power it seems like to me all the time. I drive my dads 2006 Corvette with the Z51 package and it is an awesome car but I can't really say which one I like more. They both have different qualities I like.

A standard C6 feels like a cow next to a C5 Z06. Lighter bigger tires more responsive motor etc.

Yes, because no douche has ever driven a Boxster

Sorry bud, but I'd rather be associated with the Vette crowd than the Boxster crowd. With a Boxster you're hated by non-Porsche owners and Porsche owners. With a Corvette you're just hated by non-Corvette owners.

I agree but finding a g8 gxp is near to impossible. Plus 30k and up for a car that has 20k miles on it is kind of ridiculous

CTS-V is a good car...kind of sort of wished I hadn't gotten rid of mine, but it was a little too flashy IMO...I like the subtly of the GTO and esp this '04.

Vettes? Naw, not my cup of tee, although a C6 Z06 is pretty cool performance if it were cheap. The C5 I don't care for and would esp. hate to have the Z06 of that year, being even the base C6 has more power now and the new Z06 is far greater...I'd feel cheated if I spent the money on a new one back then

If I were forced to a newer 2-seater, it would be a Viper me thinks.

Test drove a new Boxter S a few years ago when I was looking for a vert. For the price it's slow as shit. Porsche owners are right to dislike it.

I love the feel of my Goat. I hated it when I first got it. Both struts were collapsed and the bushings shot @ 22K miles. I've spent my HP mod money on suspension pieces and it has helped the car tremendously in the driving department, although it's still a slow overweight pig. I had to invest in a new stereo for my sattelite radio and a touch screen deck.

A traded my 06 Trailblazer SS for this car and regretted it at first, but like a wart it has grown on me. Do keep in mind that every person that has approached me about this car that has had one tells me don't every get rid of it you'll regret it. That is coming from 2 vette owners(C5 and C6) and a new Camaro SS owner.

I do like the G8's and the GXP's aren't that hard to find if you're really looking. An M3 would be a good choice to really enjoy driving.

GL!

I love the way my car looks, it handles good for the over weight pig that it is (but it should for what it has under it now). But I run with cars "in the same class" on tires twice as wide way half as much and make as much or more power. I feel like if I do sell the GTO I will have another some day but won't take it to what mine is currently.

I sold my GTO back in June for a 2013 Mustang GT. Many car enthusiasts just get bored over time, even with tons of power. I miss my goat, but I really like my new car. Unlike most, I won't judge you by what you drive. Whatever floats your boat! If you need back seats, look into the CTS-V as was already mentioned. Not the first generation, but the current generation. My god is that such an amazing vehicle.

I like the CTS-V coupe, but the shear tonnage dulls the performance.

If we're talking 2-seater sports cars, how about a Solstice/Saturn Sky turbo or LSx conversion.

If you want to go faster, have less comfy seats (IMO), and only be able to show off your car to one other person at a time, go for a vette. I've driven a z06 w/ exhaust and it would walk all over my GTO. But you have the last of a dying breed of Pontiac's performance car. Plus those skinny tires just make it easier to break it loose around corners lol.

Never really run my car hard when others are riding with me so the number of seats really doesn't matter(even consider removing the rear seat in the Goat at one point).

Didn't really mean running your car hard with passengers, not a big fan of that either. None the less, vettes do get better mileage, but I couldn't get rid of the goat for a vette. I would own a vette in a heartbeat tho if I could keep the gto

4.3 0-60 and a 1/4 of 12.9 @ 109 for an 09 S according to Car and Driver. But really, if I cared that much about straight line speed I'd just stick with the GTO. I like track days and twisty back roads and it's hard to find a better handling car, for any price, than a Boxster.

Had an '04 Goat and thought I'd never part with it. Spent alot of time and $$ doing mods. When it was about to where I was happy with it the wife said sell it and get a ZL1. So I demodded it and obeyed and could not be happier. I don't even miss the goat. It's up to you whatever makes you grin the most.
